Introducing the SŌMA Community Outreach Project
At SŌMA School of Therapeutic Massage, we believe that healing and compassionate touch should be accessible to everyone—regardless of financial circumstance.
We’re proud to launch a new community outreach initiative that offers cost-free massage sessions to individuals in financial need by inviting them to be demo bodies during our classroom training sessions.
These in-class sessions are instructional in nature and are not full massage treatments. Their purpose is to demonstrate and practice specific techniques and modalities we are currently learning.
(In contrast, the student clinic sessions—opening in January and offered at $35 per hour—are structured to simulate a professional massage experience, where students provide full-body treatments under supervision as part of their clinical training.)
✨ These sessions are conducted by our student therapists under professional supervision, providing hands-on experience for students and much-needed relaxation for our community.
