Community classes and CEU’s
In addition to our Massage Therapy Certificate program, SŌMA will host community wellness classes throughout the year. We will also bring in guest instructors to offer continuing education opportunities to our existing community of bodyworkers.
Classes will be open to the public and LMT’s will be able to receive CEU certificates from licensed classes.

One of the best things any practitioner can do to deepen their knowledge and skills is surround themselves with others walking the same path. This is the exact reason I offer these mini review/study sessions in Cranial Sacral Therapy techniques and protocols. Each month we gather to practice our skills, get hands on support from other CST practitioners and work on others who can give us professional feedback on their experience of our work. Each month, we focus on different techniques and listening skills training, so each workshop is unique.
Your Instructor
My name is Andrew Goforth and I have been a practicing Massage Therapist since 2011. I specialized for many years in myofascial release and unwinding. It was the unwinding work that eventually led me to discover the cranial rhythm. I began pivoting my work to include this phenomenon in my protocol and practice. I went and received extra training and have since studied multiple models of the Cranial Sacral System and have fully converted my practice in the direction of Cranial Sacral work. I love sharing it with others as well and facilitating teaching spaces for other practitioners to deepen in their understanding of this work.
Requirements to participate:
Must have a valid license to touch
Need to have participated in a minimum of a level 1 training in some form of Cranial Sacral Therapy.

Learning the Art of Deep Listening
October 16th-18th, 9am-5pm
In this three day intensive training, practitioners will:
Take their palpation skills to a new level. Learning the ability to sense myofascial restrictions in all common and some uncommon treatment areas of the body as well as the direction and flow of major myofascial planes in the body.
Learn to sense the difference between and Myofascial restriction release in the soft tissue and an unwinding phenomena correclated with holding patterns and trauma stored in the tissue
Be equipped with a low impact highly effective unwinding technique to free their clients of their deeper underlying root cause to tensions and restrictions.
Gain the anatomical knowledge needed to locate specific bony landmarks and tissue patterns to unwind acute and chronic issues in the fascial system of the body while also learning the necessary tissue listening techniques to discover deeper underlying patterns of imbalance and tension in their clients.
Leave with multiple effective technique protocols that can be immediately introduced into their treatment protocols with clients.
